The History of Red 1969 Rally Sport Convertible California License #571ZXK

The Camaro was first purchased by Gordon Aubrey Hagerman who owned the car since High School. It was and remained his favorite car. The car took him through medical school at the University of Southern California. He went on to become an emergency room physician in Los Angeles. It was retired to the garage in Westlake Village, California sometime after medical school. The car was too valuable to drive every day. It became the optional pleasure vehicle. One of the last times he drove the car was to a hospital fund raiser in Century City. Among Porsche, Mercedes, and BMW no car got a second glance, until the Camaro pulled up. All the car attendants and physicians gathered around and asked about the car. The overriding comment "nice car". Gordon walked away delighted stating there is no other car like that Camaro everybody loves and admires it.

Any future owner is warned you will consistently get this question, after the lustful look of longing in their eyes,"what year is that car"? Then there are notes and business card upon returning to your car with the question "do you want to sell the car, call me" .Be aware, vehicles will follow or pace next to you on highways and freeways to check out the car. And a final warning for women, men are checking out the car not you, no matter how good you look, it is something biological.

Gordon had the car so long he used to say that car would out live him, it did. Gordon passed away November 1993 he had just turned 42 years old. His wife Christina Marie then became owner of the car. She maintained the car and memory for seven years. She was offered 15,000 for the car in 1996 from a dealer in San Luis Obispo. He was going to import it to Europe; the offer was refused. The car was to remain a car in the U.S.A. The Camaro is now being passed on to Gary Holub for his wife Robin Holub of Marion, Iowa March 22nd, 2000.

I purchased the car from Gary through a classic car dealer in New Jersy in 2001.
